calendar_penThe practice has re-organised the way in which patients can see a clinician on the same day, this is to ensure patients who need urgent attention can access a clinician and reduce the length of waiting time at the surgery.

From Monday 5th March patients will need to telephone the surgery using the main number: 0208 748 7398 between 08.30 and 10am.  Receptionists will make every effort to book you in to a "SAME DAY DOCTOR SERVICE" appointment that morning, please note there is a limited number of appointments available each morning.

If you call the surgery after 10 o'clock, your request will be assessed and the team will do everything possible to arrange an appointment appropriate to your needs.

In order to manage the increasing demand the surgery has had to place restrictions on what patients may use the "SAME DAY DOCTOR SERVICE" for, which is why the receptionist will ask you some very basic, non-intrusive questions to help them understand how best to deal with your request.  Requesting a repeat prescription; completing a form or signing forms; organising a medical or presenting with multiple issues will mean the receptionist will secure you a routine appointment and may not necessarily offer an urgent, same day doctor service appointment.

Please do feedback to the team any comments you have regarding your experience of the new arrangements.

If you become unwell in the afternoon please call the surgery to see whether there are any remaining appointments available.

PLEASE NOTE: the practice will always see a sick child as an emergency the same day.

When booking a routine appointment please tell the receptionist that it's not urgent, they will then advise when the next available appointment is for the doctor you'd prefer to see.

You may book up to 4 weeks in advance to see the nurse, doctors or physician associate.

Please use the automatic check in at reception if you have an appointment booked.

We aim to see patients within 20 minutes of their appointment time. If you have been waiting for over 30 minutes please check with the receptionist.

Extended Hours

We are now open until 19:50 on Wednesday and 19:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Friday we open until 18:30. This is in addition to the early morning appointments (from 07:00) on Tuesdays. This is for pre-booked appointments. Please ask Reception for more information.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible so that we may offer the appointment to another patient.
