The RGPA 'Hub' was created in 2015 and designed to extend access to routine GP appointments.
In Richmond, all GP practices work together to provide additional booked appointments at evening and weekends. These appointments are available at two conveniently located "hubs" in the borough.
If we are unable to offer you an appointment with a GP at our surgery the receptionist will be able to offer you an appointment at one of the 2 hubs. These additional appointments will suit anyone who needs an appointment on the same day or unable to see a GP during normal working hours.
When you attend the hub, you will be asked to give consent to the GP you are seeing to access your medical records. This helps the GP to better assess your condition and provide the most appropriate treatment. The GP will update your records so that your own practice is kept up to date.
In addition, the Richmond GP Alliance and Health Help Now have jointly developed a local website designed to help people find the right service in Richmond. The website has been enabled to to be used on mobile devices that have internet access. This means that it can be used on any smart phone or tablet with internet access, as well as via the desktop and laptop computers with internet access. The address is:
There are two hubs, open Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm. Sunday service operates between 8am and 8pm on a rotation basis between the two Hubs.
26th November - Hub 1 Essex House
3rd December - Hub 2 Teddington Memorial Hospital
10th December - Hub 1 Essex House
17th December - Hub 2 Teddington Memorial Hospital
Bank Holidays operate with one Hub open between 8am to 1pm.
Please speak to one of our nursing team for further information on receiving a vaccination.
We are running our seasonal flu vaccination clinics on the followings days and times:
WEDNESDAY 22nd November, 29th November, 6th December and 13th December: 14.30 to 16.30
WEDNESDAY 29th November and 6th December 18.00 to 19.00
This year the nasal spray flu vaccination is being offered at our surgery to all children aged from 2 to 3 years old, with dates of birth ranging between 1.9.13 and 31.8.15.
If your child falls into this group, or is in one of the 'at risk' groups we will be sending a written invitation to book an appointment during one of our children's flu vaccination clinics.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travel Health Questionnaire
To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse.
Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
